yea here you go
Hello !! I am glad to find this topic and hopefully I can help Japanese translation... I work in NYC and picked this magazine (called "Best Car Magazine Plus" Apr/5 issue) at Japanese bookstore only a block from my office. Sorry if my English is not perfect but at least you figure out what this magazine describes.

Nissan GT-R will debut at Tokyo Motor Show on Oct/24. Price is confirmed at 6,600,000 Yen = USD 55,932 (USD 1 = 117 Yen as of 3/16). This is much less than we expected, IT'S A BARGAIN !!

New GT-R is currently being tested at Nürburgring North Course since last fall and has beaten best time of Porsche 997 GT3 (7:42). The article does not list lap time of GT-R, but quicker than 7:40? For reference please see below. You can have idea of how fast new GT-R runs. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordsch...test_lap_times)

GT-R will have 3 versions - Stock, V Spec, and Evo Spec. Evo version will be sold a year after of stock debut = Oct/2008 in Japan, it will be limited production, and not sure if Evo model will be sold in US. All models has same engine spec 3.8L Twin Turbo (not 3.7L), VQ37HR 450hp 50.0kgm but Evo will have carbons all around & 2 seats (i/o 4seats) super light weight and comes with carbon disk (option). R35 will be made as the fastest production car in Nürburgring. Price: Stock USD55,932 (in Japan), V Spec USD68,376 (estimate), Evo Spec USD85,470 (estimate). Price of Evo is far below Porsche 997 GT3, around USD 120,000-130,000 range?

The pictures I list below are CG from this magazine, although they always post reliable ones. I just found this thread only allow 2MB. I post 2 pics and will attach more later. Please note a pic with fold line is Evo model. Other pic is stock.

Buy stock model or wait until Evo comes to US? I would buy stock model (I have to make deposit !!), keep it for 5-6 months until Nissan official announces Evo availability in US, sell stock with premium (the price will be higher than MSRP for first 5-6 months) and buy Evo. Or keep stock if Evo is not sold in US. It still run faster than Porsche 997 GT3 on track !!

If that's the price here in the US, they will sell like hotcakes. Wish I had the coin for one. A G37 Coupe would be the best that I could do.

Default shocked...

So much for $70k rumors, at $55, I will have to consider it, even if it means selling the car, the bike, the cat, the kid, whatever I can sell, what else can you put your hands on @ that price for 450 HP? (without mods that is)

I like the fact that the headlights dont go all the way to the ground, - this was a pic released on 12-09:

http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...ew-nissan-gt-r

I wonder if the rumors of a TT G37 mean similar pricing? that would make it a big premimum for just adding TT, unless they changed out a lot more engine parts.
